LSVTBIG is a treatment program specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s Disease. It is based on the principal of neuroplasticity which describes the ability of the brain to adapt to insult or injury. LSVTBIG is based on a speech training program called Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) which results in improvements in speech quality and volume. The same treatment principals are applied to functional movements to increase the “bigness” of movements.
